Hillsdale Village Park benefits from Rotary Community Grant Project

The Village of Hillsdale, Illinois asked us about replacing old park benches on the walking path at Hillsdale Viilage Park. So our Rotary club wrote a Rotary District 6420 Community Grant for a project and contacted Tyson Foods, Joslin near Hillsdale about being our grant partner. Tyson donated $3150 to the project and $1200 was awarded our club from the district. Our members poured new concrete pads, purchased and assembled 3 park benches, and installed garbage cans next to them. In addition, a pollinator garden was planted, and we replaced old railroad ties with new border and base around the Merry-Go-Round.

As you can tell, our club serves with a smile.

And a huge shout out to Tyson Foods - Joslin! https://www.tyson.com
