The Village of Hillsdale, Illinois asked us about replacing old park benches on the walking path at Hillsdale Viilage Park. So our Rotary club wrote a Rotary District 6420Â Community Grant for a project and contacted Tyson Foods, Joslin near Hillsdale about being our grant partner. Tyson donated $3150 to the project and $1200 was awarded our club from the district. Our members poured new concrete pads, purchased and assembled 3 park benches, and installed garbage cans next to them. In addition, a pollinator garden was planted, and we replaced old railroad ties with new border and base around the Merry-Go-Round.
As you can tell, our club serves with a smile.
